COLUMBIA, Mo. • Missouri assistant baseball coach Kerrick Jackson has decided to leave the staff for family reasons, he confirmed Wednesday, but not without giving a strong endorsement that Mizzou keep his boss in place.
Jackson, who also has the title of recruiting coordinator, has been with the program the last five seasons and plans to move to Kansas City where his wife, Talia, has received a promotion with the company Burns & McDonnell. The Jacksons have two young sons, ages 2 and 3, and Kerrick wants to seek a job that affords more time to spend with his family, he said.
