The Missouri freshman with his surgically repaired back made his months-in-waiting return to the court for Thursday’s second-round game in the Southeastern Conference tournament, a 62-60 loss to Georgia that ended with a frantic finish at Scottrade Center. Mizzou stormed back from 12 down to set up the potential game-winning possession with 7.1 seconds left, but Kassius Robertson’s corner 3-pointer skimmed off the rim and sent the Bulldogs into Friday’s quarterfinal.
The Tigers (20-12) now wait for Sunday’s bracket unveiling to see where they’ll play in the NCAA Tournament.
