Mizzou and Porter Jr. are one and done in St. Louis

Michael Porter Jr. was one and done after all.

One and done for St. Louis.

The Missouri freshman with his surgically repaired back made his months-in-waiting return to the court for Thursday’s second-round game in the Southeastern Conference tournament, a 62-60 loss to Georgia that ended with a frantic finish at Scottrade Center. Mizzou stormed back from 12 down to set up the potential game-winning possession with 7.1 seconds left, but Kassius Robertson’s corner 3-pointer skimmed off the rim and sent the Bulldogs into Friday’s quarterfinal.

The Tigers (20-12) now wait for Sunday’s bracket unveiling to see where they’ll play in the NCAA Tournament.
