COLUMBIA, MO. • New Missouri baseball coach Steve Bieser completed his coaching staff, including the addition of a former Major League outfielder. Brian McRae, who played 10 years in the big leagues with the Mets, Royals, Cubs, Rockies and Blue Jays will join the staff as a student assistant while completing his undergraduate degree at Mizzou.
McRae, 48, a career .261 hitter with 103 home runs and 196 steals, was Bieser’s teammate with the Mets in the 1990s.
Bieser also hired Dillon Lawson as volunteer hitting coach and Joe Migliaccio as a graduate assistant.
