COLUMBIA, Mo. — It bodes well for the future of gameday traffic on Interstate 70 that the stretch of freeway between Columbia and St. Louis is expanding, since Missouri’s 2025 recruiting class will pull heavily from the St. Louis area.
Mizzou now has five local prospects in its 17-and-counting-member class, adding another to that tally Wednesday afternoon.
Charles Bass III, a three-star safety from East St. Louis, verbally committed to the Tigers, continuing the migration of recruits from the area to Columbia.
Recruiting services are split on how to rank Bass’ talent. Rivals.com grades him as a four-star prospect and the ninth-best safety in his class, while On3 tabs him as the 54th best recruit at the position.
