COLUMBIA, Mo. • Missouri basketball coach Kim Anderson made it official Wednesday: Former Tigers player Corey Tate has joined the staff as an assistant coach. Several outlets, including the Post-Dispatch, reported last week that Tate had agreed to join Anderson's staff at his alma mater.
Tate, 40, has spent the last 11 years as head coach at Mineral Area College, a two-year community college in Park Hills, Mo. Tate played at Pattonville High and began his college playing career at Mineral Area College before transferring to Mizzou, where he played three seasons from 1994-95 to 1996-97.
