COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri football has landed running back Marcus Carroll from the transfer portal, another offseason addition targeting a position of need.

Carroll, who's transferring from Georgia State, will have one year of eligibility remaining.

He ran for 1,350 yards and 13 touchdowns this season with the Panthers, also adding 234 receiving yards. In a Nov. 18 game at No. 15 Louisiana State, Carroll rushed for 87 yards and a score, including a 44-yard run.

Carroll hails from the Atlanta area. At Georgia State, he worked his way up the depth chart to emerge as part of a three-man backfield in 2022 before starting this year.
