Missouri guard Terrence Phillips suspended indefinitely

Fresh off of a 20-turnover performance in Wednesday’s loss to Auburn, Missouri’s point guard situation just got even worse.

Terrence Phillips has been suspended indefinitely for “a violation of team policy,” according to a team statement. “Phillips’ future status with the program will be determined in coordination with campus and department leadership.”

The terminology used is extremely similar to the statement released earlier this week when the Missouri football program indefinitely suspended safety Kaleb Prewett. It’s unlikely that either situation will be resolved anytime soon.

Phillips was expected by many to be the starting point guard heading into this season, but instead he saw his role greatly reduced.
