A little glimmer of respect found its way to Missouri’s doorstep on Monday, as the SEC Media Days events began. For most of the offseason, Mizzou has suffered the brunt of many pundits’ opinions on defining what comprises an SEC program – of which Missouri “isn’t a good fit.”
On Monday, Crockett was placed on the Maxwell Award watch list, which is awarded to the best football player. In 2016, Crockett finished his first year with 1,062 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns.
But for some off-the-field issues which kept him off the field at the end of the season, Crockett, who will begin this season as a sophomore, would have likely contributed more yardage and an extra touchdown or two.
