Heading into Wednesday, Missouri looked to fill out its 2019 recruiting class with a few defensive prospects.
The Tigers’ main targets? 3-star JUCO DE/OLB Sci Martin out of East Mississippi Community College, 3-star DE Steven Linton out of Dublin (Ga.) and 2-star DE Z’Core Brooks out of Woodrow Wilson (Texas). Missouri wasted little time in adding two of the three recruits, getting commitments from Brooks and Martin and ending its day before 9:30 a.m.
Brooks, listed as a strongside DE by Rivals, received a last-minute offer Tuesday from the Tigers. The 6-foot-6, 225 pound prospect is seen as a work-in-progress by Missouri’s coaching staff, but the team is high on his potential on the edge.
