It should be no surprise when we say this, but last week wasn’t exactly a banner period for Mizzou basketball. In the context of the rest of the season, it was honestly as bad as could be. Missouri got trounced by a mediocre Ole Miss team and then nearly fended off No. 24 Arkansas at home without its top scorer... but still fell in overtime. It’s the first time this season the Tigers have lost consecutive games. Despite starting the weekend as one of the projected No. 4 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, the Saturday loss dropped the Tigers into (relatively) precarious territory in at least one bracketologist’s eyes.
