The University of Missouri System Board of Curators announced Friday that it had unanimously approved the construction of a football facility in Memorial Stadium’s south end zone. The price tag: $98 million.
The school says the project “will provide state-of-the-art training facilities’ for the football team and “create additional premium seating opportunities.”
“Missouri is making a bold statement with today’s announcement, and I am confident that it not only will pay big dividends in recruiting but it will help improve our game-day atmosphere throughout the stadium,” coach Barry Odom said in a release. “I can’t wait to get the shovels in the ground and get going.
