When Kevin Puryear looked in his locker before Saturday’s game against Mississippi State, he saw the name ‘Rhyan Loos’ on the back of his warmup shirt.
Each Missouri player had the name of a local child battling pediatric cancer on the back of their shirt for the program’s third-annual Rally for Rhyan game, which started after former assistant coach Brad Loos’ 7-year-old daughter Rhyan was diagnosed with the disease three years ago.
Brad Loos recruited Puryear to Missouri, so it was only fitting the junior forward’s three-pointer with 10 seconds left in overtime lifted the Tigers to an 89-85 win over the Bulldogs.
