For the first time this season, the No. 15 Missouri Tigers are skidding. Sure they’ve lost two games in a row this season before, losing to No. 4 Tennessee followed by a loss at home to No. 10 Texas A&M, but that was a mulligan. Losing to two Top 10 teams in a row isn’t exactly a skid.
However the Tigers find themselves in a weird place, it’s that time of year where statisticians talk about “what qualifies a team to be a true national contender,” and the Tigers are lacking in one category, defense. Missouri has allowed 90-plus points in four of their last five games, and have the 69th ranked defense.
