The NCAA Tournament is right around the corner. For the second time in three seasons, Mizzou was given a pair of shoes to the Big Dance.
Just like two years ago, the Tigers will start the tourney against an elite mid-major opponent. Even when they’ve faced a mid-major as a high seed, however, they’ve ended up on the wrong end of an upset multiple times. 2012 against Norfolk State, 1990 against Northern Iowa, 1988 against Rhode Island, 1987 against Xavier ... the mid-major has proven to be a massive roadblock for Mizzou in March.
However, the mid-major standing in front of the Tigers and the Round of 32 this season might be the toughest they’ve ever faced.
