Everybody knows Missouri football had been in a slump in the St. Louis area. Like way worse than Dexter Fowler’s .182.
Mizzou’s 2017 and 2018 recruiting classes included as many high school recruits from Siberia as they did St. Louis. MU re-signed two junior college transfers originally from St. Louis but blanked on area high school prospects.
The streak ended Wednesday when Lutheran North offensive lineman Jack Buford tugged on a gold Mizzou cap and pledged his allegiance to the Tigers. In attendance at Buford’s ceremony were other high-profile Mizzou targets from the area.
