Missouri’s defense proved porous during a second-round SEC Baseball Tournament matchup Wednesday against LSU in Hoover, Ala.
As a result, Mizzou’s Tigers, who are the No. 10 seed, took one on the chin 10-3 against the Tigers from Baton Rouge, La., who are the No. 2 seed and SEC regular-season co-champions.
Mizzou (36-22) grabbed a second-inning lead on freshman Kameron Misner’s one-out solo home run, but LSU (40-17) broke open the game with a four-run third inning.
Freshman left-hander T.J. Sikkema issued a leadoff walk and freshman Zach Watson tied the game with a ringing double to right-center.
