Missouri men's basketball entered its Southeastern Conference opener against No. 2 Auburn expecting a stiff test. That's exactly what Mizzou got in a 84-68 drubbing.
Auburn, led by Johni Broome, dominated across the board but controlled the game with an electric afternoon from beyond the 3-point line. MU's play was passable and competitive at moments, but the right players to hang around one of the nation's best teams never revealed themselves.
Guard Marques Warrick led Mizzou with a season-high 19 points, most of which came during garbage time.
Mizzou moves to 11-3 overall and 0-1 in SEC play.
