Lee’s Summit product Drew Lock has had a record-setting day against Missouri State in Missouri’s season opener.
Lock, a junior, set school records for touchdown passes and yards against the Bears.
By the time coach Barry Odom sat him down in the fourth quarter, Lock had passed for seven touchdowns, breaking the school record of five that he’d shared with Chase Daniel, and 521 yards, breaking Jeff Handy’s record of 480, set against Oklahoma State in 1992.
Lock’s seven TDs tied an SEC record and his 521 yards tied for fifth in conference history.
The big day even earned a nod of praise from Daniel.
