Welcome to the Morning Commute! Today, we’re talking about Larissa Anderson.
Mizzou Softball crested 40 wins on Sunday by sweeping RV/RV South Carolina in a 10-inning epic. It’s the first sweep of the season for the Tigers and the first SEC sweep for the program in over two years. The win also secured fifth place in the coming conference tournament.
It’s been a much-needed bounce back season for the program, which stumbled to a 7-17 conference record in 2023 before bowing out in an NCAA Regional. Returning major pieces like Jenna Laird, Alex Honnold and Laurin Krings certainly didn’t hurt, but it’s a welcome sight to see the Tigers north of 40 wins for the first time since 2021, when the Tigers ran into the buzzsaw that was JMU star Odicci Alexander.
