COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri’s Kobe Brown, the team’s preseason all-conference forward, watched MU’s entire second-half comeback from the bench at Wichita State on Tuesday, plus every minute of overtime in the Tigers’ victory.
Throughout the rally, he showed why he’s a team captain for first-year coach Dennis Gates and every bit an instrumental teammate off the floor.
“There was a point in that last game where I told (Gates) myself, the group we had out there was doing really well. So I'm like, ‘We might have to stay (with them),’” Brown said Sunday. “Ultimately, it's his decision but I was perfectly fine with cheering from the sidelines.
