Missouri Tigers senior safety Khalil Oliver was named to the watchlist for the Wuerffel Trophy. The award is given to the player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
The list begins with 93 players from the FBS. This is a cool trophy and it’s a bit different since it allows players to show off how college football can help people outside of Saturdays when they take the field.
This is Oliver’s first year on the watchlist.
Ten players return from 2018. Past players who won the award include Tim Tebow, Barrett Jones, Matt Barkley and Drue Tranquill — last year’s winner.
