Kasparas Jakucionis' clutch shot lifts Illini over Mizzou in Braggin' Rights

ST. LOUIS — Illinois' Kasparas Jakucionis showed why his NBA Draft stock is so high.

The freshman guard knocked down a jumper with 28 seconds to play to give Illinois the lead and the Illini hung on for an 80-77 win, their second straight Braggin' Rights victory.

Jacob Crews missed a potential tying 3-pointer in the closing seconds.

Jakucionis, who hit another tie-breaking shot with just over two minutes to play, that one a 3-pointer, finished with 21 points to lead Illinois.

Tony Perkins and Mark Mitchell had 18 to lead Mizzou. Tamar Bates added 17 in a physical game that featured 43 fouls.
