COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri starting quarterback Brady Cook will miss Saturday's matchup against Oklahoma because of injuries he suffered in the Tigers' past two games.
Mizzou ruled Cook out on Friday, listing him as such on the Southeastern Conference-mandated injury report.
Cook was considered questionable at the start of the week but evidently did not make enough progress to be considered healthy enough to play — or labeling him as questionable was a bit of gamesmanship from coach Eli Drinkwitz.
Drinkwitz said Tuesday that Missouri's plan remained for backup quarterback Drew Pyne to start against the Sooners if Cook couldn't play.
