Scholarship limits are increasing for most NCAA sports, and the change is sure to cause upheaval on rosters and on athletic budgets across the country.
According to a report from Yahoo! Sports’ Ross Dellenger, the NCAA is set to increase scholarship limits for several sports, including football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball in 2025-26. This change is a part of the settlement surrounding the House v. NCAA court battle which we covered back in May when details first started trickling down.
As far as Mizzou football is concerned, the scholarship limit increase from 85 to a reported 105 scholarships could cause some changes in how the coaching staff recruits and builds their roster.
