Mizzou can start to put last year's troubles in the rearview mirror when the Tigers open the 2024-25 season Monday night at Memphis.
Mizzou, 8-24 a year ago, went 0-18 in Southeastern Conference play. Its last win came Dec. 30.
But Mizzou faces a difficult test at Memphis, a team that went 22-10 last season including 13-2 in home games.
Mizzou was picked to finish 13th in the conference, though its preseason KenPom ranking is among the nation's most improved. The entire league is expected to be improved, so Mizzou may find moving up the standings difficult.
