COLUMBIA, Mo. — Anthony Robinson II’s freshman year was a grueling one.
After moving from Florida to Missouri, the young point guard’s new basketball team struggled to win games — then didn’t win at all for the second half of the season. He lost his grandmother. That tests a 19-year-old.
“Mentally, it was a long season,” Robinson said, “just being a freshman, going through a lot, being homesick a little bit.”
As the third point guard in a room dominated by two veterans, Robinson’s role varied drastically from game to game during his first season of college basketball.
