After the illustrious season that Cody Schrader had last season, the Tigers were tasked with replacing 1,680 total yards and 13 touchdowns. They went the Moneyball route and instead of replacing the player, they replaced the production with Marcus Carroll and Nate Noel, a true running back duo.
“I think [Carroll and Noel] have good, complementary football skills, and they know how to play off of each other. I think we understand we’re probably not gonna have somebody that’s gonna be able to carry it as many times in the game as Cody,” Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz said.
