Hochman: New system leads to increased expectations for MU's Lock

COLUMBIA, MO. • The little boy approached the big quarterback and asked for advice for playing the game. It was a sweet moment, to be sure, except for the fact that the game the boy asked about was Pokemon.

“Coach Odom’s son actually asked, and that got (back) to him,” Mizzou quarterback Drew Lock said, flashing his own boyish smile. “He’s 5 or 6.”

Barry Odom’s quarterback stood Sunday on the fringe of Faurot Field, right by the brick wall that divides the student-athletes from the students.

“Hopefully, how I’m good at Pokemon will be how good I am at football, because I do feel like I’m a very good Pokemon player,” said the sophomore, whose achievements include reaching Level 21 and obtaining a 1,800 executor, whatever that means.
