COLUMBIA, Mo. — On Senior Day, they honored the junior.
Before Mizzou’s final home game of the season Saturday, Luther Burden III emerged from indoors and walked through familiar territory — the end zone — and onto snow-dusted Faurot Field. Like the 26 Mizzou seniors, the junior receiver hugged coach Eli Drinkwitz near the 10-yard line and then met with loved ones.
It’s (likely) over. It’s been quick, but quite a ride. St. Louis native Burden probably played his final college game Saturday — Missouri 28, Arkansas 21 — as he’s projected a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
