Gordon: College QBs popular in blame game

Kentucky quarterback Patrick Towles had the foresight to remove the social media apps from his phone before the Wildcats played Florida.

He blocked out some of the outside noise that proves so distracting. And there was quite the digital ruckus after Towles completed just 8 of 24 passes for 126 yards and two interceptions in the 14-9 loss Saturday.

“I think a lot of people, it’s easy to look for someone to blame when you lose a game,” Kentucky coach Mark Stoops said Monday during his weekly news conference. “I don’t think that’s right or fair. That’s not been my style.
