COLUMBIA, Mo. • After a scoreless second quarter, Missouri must feel fortunate to trail No. 11 Florida only 14-3 at halftime. The Gators outgained the Tigers in yardage 245-137 as Mizzou failed to convert all five of its third-down chances.
Freshman quarterback Drew Lock, making his second career start for Mizzou, completed 8 of 16 passes for 95 yards, 51 coming on his first two attempts. The Tigers managed just 47 yards in the second quarter, which included Lock’s second interception of the season on a pass intended for tight end Jason Reese that safety Marcus Maye intercepted with a diving grab along the MU sideline.
