The Ivy League went a step further earlier this week and cancelled its men’s and women’s tournaments set for Lavietes Pavilion in Cambridge, Mass., and awarded the automatic NCAA Tournament bids to regular season champions Princeton (women) and Yale (men).
While universities around the country cancel classes, questions continue to linger about the start of next week’s NCAA Tournament. Governors in Ohio and Washington have recommended prohibiting fans from attending sporting events in their state to help contain the virus. Dayton, Ohio, hosts the First Four games next Tuesday and Wednesday, while Cleveland and Spokane, Wash., are both hosting first- and second-round games next week.
