COLUMBIA, MO. • Missouri held North Carolina Central without a field goal for nearly seven minutes late in the first half and still managed to trail at halftime, 24-20.
The Eagles went 6:58 between field goals before Pablo Rivas' putback in the half's final minute, but during their drought, Mizzou went failed to score on 10 of 14 possessions. The Tigers shot a dreadful 6 of 35 in the first half.
Frankie Hughes, Mizzou's leading scorer coming into the game, finished the half without a point on three missed shots.
