Summers in Columbia can be quite grim. The campus is barren, and it can feel like a real ghost town sometimes. (Editor’s note: I, for one, am okay with less traffic and the quiet months.) One group already moved back on campus and putting in the hard work is the women’s basketball team. The Tigers have plenty of work ahead, as they have the tough task of acclimating six new players to the roster.
But these new faces have energized the Tigers’ squad, bringing a new feeling of intensity to the court. This sort of intensity was on full display the day BEFORE I showed up to watch practice on Monday, leaving Ashton Judd in need of several stitches on her face.
