As he trained for his NFL future in Florida, Tyler Badie waited and waited for a call from the Senior Bowl. The most prestigious all-star game for NFL prospects had selected a handful of running backs for its showcase event, but not the Southeastern Conference rushing leader.
Badie waited … and waited … and waited. But he didn’t worry.
“I’ve been dealing with doubt my whole life,” he said. “So I know how to handle it and prove people wrong.”
The phone call and invitation finally came from Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy, a sign of validation for the former Missouri star whose college career tested his patience the last four years.
