From Hill to Dooley, Mizzou's football staff has new look

COLUMBIA, MO. • With the wind gusting and the temperature dipping into the low 40s on Faurot Field, the first day of Missouri football spring practices didn’t feel much like spring for offensive coordinator Derek Dooley, who’s spent his coaching career in warmer climates.

“We were kind of preparing for the Chicago Bears today coming off Lake Michigan,” he joked after Tuesday’s morning workout.

Eventually Dooley will adjust to Missouri weather, perhaps by the time Mizzou’s new staffers gets settled into their roles. With a roster that returns 10 starters on offense, six on defense and both kicking specialists from last year’s 7-6 team, the prominent newcomers at Tuesday’s practice came from Barry Odom’s coaching staff.
