OXFORD, Miss. — Much like the story of their season, the Missouri Tigers buried themselves with a ragged start Wednesday at Ole Miss only to restore hope with a late surge.
In the penultimate game of the regular season — and another one bogged down by the officials’ endlessly bleating whistles — Mizzou fell behind by 15 points at The Pavilion at Ole Miss only to storm back and even the score early in the second half. Like so many times this year and last, the Tigers couldn’t sustain all the energy it took to erase the early deficit, this time in a 75-67 defeat.
