With the current trajectory of the program, Eli Drinkwitz is going to be here for a while. Two days after Mizzou defeated Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, Drinkwitz signed a contract extension keeping him in Columbia through the 2028 season. His previous contract extension that was signed last year ran through 2027. The athletic department released the news Sunday afternoon, but the details of the extension have yet to be released. Drinkwitz made $6 million on his previous contract and $4 million before that, but expect that number to bump following this season’s success.
