COLUMBIA, MO. • Despite multiple reports that charges against Missouri defensive end Tre Williams had been dismissed, the case is still pending, Boone County prosecuting attorney Dan Knight said Wednesday.
Williams faces a felony domestic assault charge stemming from Sunday’s arrest in Columbia and is scheduled for arraignment on Jan. 2, according to online court updates.
Earlier in the day, assistant prosecuting attorney Susan Boresi told the Columbia Daily Tribune the case was dismissed because “additional information made available to us made it difficult to prosecute.” Boresi has not returned multiple messages from the Post-Dispatch this week.
