COLUMBIA, Mo. • As a child, losing little league games would bring Ehren Earleywine to tears. In college, he broke a knuckle when he punched a dugout wall. He openly challenged his coaches when their decisions clashed with his opinions. Growing up in a sports crazed community in Jefferson City, Earleywine let the games he played drive him mad.
Whether it was baseball, basketball or football, he played the same way, “just full of anger,” he said.
“I just grew up in a family that hated to lose,” Earleywine, 44, said. “It compounded the issue because I was always the underdog because of my size.
