Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz’s much-discussed 2022 recruiting class grew again Tuesday, when defensive tackle Jalen Marshall of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, Kan., announced his verbal commitment to the Tigers on Instagram.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound three-star recruit picked Mizzou over offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Indiana.
Marshall is the 12th commitment in Drinkwitz’s 2022 class and the fourth from the Kansas City metro area. Eight of the 12 are from either Missouri or the Kansas City metro area. Recruiting service Rivals ranks the class as the 18th-best in the country at this time.
