Disastrous second half dooms Mizzou at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. • Auburn opened its first home game in 11 days the way it does every game — with its signature 3-point onslaught.

The home Tigers got open looks all night, but in the first half, only five of 21 shots from deep went in.

In the second half, however, they started to fall. And an undermanned Missouri team couldn’t keep up.

Auburn shot 11 of 20 from deep in the final 20 minutes, burying Missouri as nine players hit a 3-point basket in the second half in Mizzou’s 92-58 loss at Auburn Arena on Wednesday night — the most lopsided loss in the Cuonzo Martin era.
