COLUMBIA, Mo. — December’s onset means more competitive basketball is on the way for Missouri after a slow ramp up of blowouts to start the season.
“The month of December is a different month compared to November,” MU coach Dennis Gates said Monday, and he wasn’t referring to just a different picture on his wall calendar.
The Tigers will face their first power conference opponents of the season, marking the biggest test of the 2024-25 season since the opener against Memphis. First up, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, is California.
Mizzou (6-1) will host the Golden Bears (6-1) as part of the Southeastern Conference-Atlantic Coast Conference Challenge — yes, the school in Berkeley, California, is in the ACC now.
