COLUMBIA, Mo. — Houston Christian tasted the full menu of what’s made this Missouri men's basketball team so good through the first month of the season.
The balance. The tempo. The unselfishness.
Also, the schedule.
Saturday’s matinee at Mizzou Arena was another pre-ordained mismatch as the Tigers closed their seven-game, season-opening homestand with a 105-69 victory. Dennis Gates’ team scored the game’s first 16 points and seized a commanding 20-point lead before HCU connected on its first field goal.
This was hardly a mid-major juggernaut visiting Mizzou Arena. The Huskies’ only win has come against Champion Christian College.
