Barely a week ago, a new crop of freshmen experienced the rite of moving to college.
There was backslapping. Newcomers gently shuttled shoe collections from trunks to closets. They started learning the geography of campus. They bid farewell to their parents. And late at night, they hit the streets of downtown Columbia in search of a meal.
By the middle of this week, they were settling into new digs, and Missouri started touting their arrival.
A trip to Memphis remains 149 days away, and plenty of lifting sessions, workouts, skill work, scrimmages and film study will determine the Tigers’ hierarchy.
