Columbia's Williams commits to Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo. • Tre Williams, one of the state’s rising football recruits from here in Mizzou’s backyard, gave the Tigers a verbal commitment on Friday while attending Gary Pinkel’s team camp, Rock Bridge High coach A.J. Ofodile confirmed.

Williams, a 6-5, 220-pound defensive end, is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and also holds offers from Arkansas, Arizona State, California, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Nebraska, and TCU among others. Rivals ranks Williams the country’s No. 14 weakside defensive end in the 2016 recruiting class.

Missouri also offered a scholarship to Rock Bridge defensive back Bryce Banks on Friday, Ofodile confirmed.
