COLUMBIA, Mo. — A preseason camp injury hasn’t dulled the buzz Missouri’s young wide receivers have created this offseason.
Mookie Cooper and Dominic Lovett have provided glimpses of their big-play potential since arriving on campus in January. Cooper is nursing a lower-leg injury that could sideline him for the rest of camp, but once healthy, he could be the spark the Tigers lacked last fall.
The most hopeful Mizzou fan imagines a third local piece to the puzzle in five-star recruit Luther Burden, the East St. Louis receiver who dumped his pledge to Oklahoma this week and could join the other young playmakers in Columbia next year.
