Charles Harris likely to become 5th Mizzou defender drafted in 1st round this decade

Missouri is likely to have a defensive player taken in the first round for the fifth time this decade when the NFL draft commences April 27.

Edge rusher Charles Harris’ pass-rush ability is impressive and should get him selected in the second half of the first round. He would be the third Mizzou end to go in the first round since 2011, joining Aldon Smith (11th overall in 2011) and Shane Ray (23rd overall in 2015).

The other Tigers defenders who have gone in the first round since 2010 are linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (19th in 2010) and tackle Sheldon Richardson (13th in 2013).
