Three weeks ago, Sam Godwin struggled mightily against Mizzou. The senior big man played just 15 minutes, as he was no match for Mark Mitchell, who scored a career-high 25 points.
On Wednesday, he was just about perfect. He scored 12 points on 5-of-5 shooting ... literally perfect. He was knocked out of the game after a collision down low, needing help off the floor while not putting much weight on his right leg. But his early reversal of fortune mirrored his team’s bounce-back against its border-state foes, as Oklahoma defeated Mizzou 96-84.
The Tigers were diced up defensively, especially in the paint.
