It was a good weekend for Mizzou in overtime.
A day after the Missouri football team rallied to beat Florida in OT, coach Cuonzo Martin’s Tigers basketball team stormed back from a 13-point deficit to outlast Southern Methodist University 80-75 in overtime Sunday night at the Jacksonville Classic.
The Tigers overcame a dismal offensive start but climbed on Kobe Brown’s back to advance to Monday’s championship game, against Florida State.
Brown scored a career-high 24 points and hit a crucial 3-pointer in OT to give the Tigers (3-1) the lead for good. Brown had picked up his fourth foul with nearly five minutes left in regulation.
